Awkward Love Affairs

Unlike the title would suggest, my latest and greatest obsession is a TV show. But not just any TV show - the one and only... AWKWARD.
Can we just take a moment to discuss perfection?
And in the literary sense perfection no longer means 'perfection', but instead means 'Awkward', and that being the case would we describe Logan Lerman as awkward...?

Since, as of recently, I've been wanting to become a book and movie critic and not a rambling teenage girl I suppose I should review this show;

Awkward; a cinematic masterpiece of romance, lust, comedy, rivalry, drama, blogging and condoms. The realism of the show is captivating in the best and most dramatic of ways, serving as an exciting insight into the life of an invisible 15 year old girl.
It's protagonist, Jenna Hamilton, is described as a 'nobody' until she loses her virginity to the most popular guy in school - Matty Mckibben and her life takes a turn for the worse. A rumour spreads around school that she tried to commit suicide and during all this Matty is still keeping their secret sex affairs on the down low, and not in the kinky sense.

Without revealing too much let's just say that this show is a monumental stroke of genius and that I want to marry Jake Rosatti and punch Colin Jennings in the face. Any Awkward fans out there that will join me in the maiming of Colin's incredibly attractive face? Anyone?

Anyway, away from the subject of maiming and marrying...

 Love to bits and back,

P.S. You're welcome.

P.P.S If you haven't actually seen the show yet you won't get my P.S., so watch it.

Creative Gravity

*Hides behind the cloak of invisibility because YOLO* (I'm being ironic, please put down the wand and step away from my Logan Lerman poster!)

So... it's been a while... A little... Little... Oh who am I kidding? I've been avoiding the concept of blogging for too long now and it must end! Gandolf! Get my 12 iron!

OK, in all seriousness I have no idea what that ^ was and I'm sorry if I traumatized you and your honorary group of housewives, but I haven't written a blog entry in a while and it's because of, what I like to call, Creative Gravity.

Now, we all know what gravity is, don't we kids? Thanks to the third grade science teacher I never had, but instead learned through the wisdom of other nose picking 8 year olds.

The definition of gravity copy and pasted from Google is;

grav·i·ty

[grav-i-tee]
noun, plural grav·i·ties.
1. the force of attraction by which terrestrial bodies tend to fall toward the center of the earth.
2. heaviness or weight.

So Creative Gravity is the natural force of attraction downward, which halts the creative process. This is bad for me guys. I have assignments and concerts and writing competitions on the way - I cannot afford to have Creative Gravity!
I am the lead singer of two groups for a big concert in my city and I cannot be creatively blocked or emotionally drained. It's not good for your pores! (Honestly, I don't even know what that is, but it seems to stereotypically match my 'teen girl' status.)

Speaking of which, it doesn't help that I have 'Teenage Girl Drama' going on in my life.

I swear to you guys, I am about ready to slaughter the next girl who says that they're life is awful and makes a suicide joke. Seriously?! WHAT. IS. WRONG. WITH. YOU?!

*dramatic sigh* I hypocritically hate teenage girls.

They take everything so... seriously. They could have a fight with a friend and say that they're going to move countries. Or they could receive one constructively provoked criticism and bawl their eyes out. It's infuriating!

I always try to think that someone has it worse off than me and that I could be homeless, or dying, or dead, but some girls just don't understand that their issue of Dolly magazine and that D they got in that one Science test 2 years ago aren't the most important things in the world and to stop complaining.

So in a nutshell it's Creative Gravities fault that I haven't been blogging frequently, which means that it's gravities fault, which means it's the earth's fault, which means it's the Big Bang's fault, so... technically you should blame Science for my disappearance and cause some teenage girl drama in that classroom of yours.

Love to bits and back,
        Everything and Anything

P.s. It's also gravities fault that my phone is broken - not mine.

Mixed Emotions on a Stunningly New Debut

The Fault in Our Stars.
Is it safe to say it may be a literacy rebellion on the typical 'happily ever after' ending? I loved it with a pathetic passion and a pitiful pleasure.
The only thing I didn't like about the book? Everyone was reading it. It really turned me off it, because, to me, if someone with half a brain cell and someone who wears smaller clothes then she reads books can appreciate it... How good can it be, really?

In my mind if someone like this girl I described above (naming no names, but she's certainly very... popular where I live) can enjoy it, it mustn't be very intellectual and it mustn't really get you thinking like a good book should.
But I read it anyway, because I mean, I could I not.
And you know what I know now that I didn't know before now?
It. Was. AMAZING!
It was like an angel sprouted down from heaven, had a million little angel offspring's and mushed them together with chocolate, fairy floss and tooth decay then turned it into a book and that book would be The Fault in Our Stars.
Obviously I had to add in tooth decay, because I mean c'mon, the best character dies! Really John, really?

But now I have a new teen-life crisis I'm facing, devoting to the book - They're turning it into a movie...
WHY?! I'm obviously going to see it, but... What if it sucks and strays from the book entirely? What if it gets even more popularity from illiterate lonely sluts and they ruin it for me? What if I can't reread the book again, because the movie was so bad that it destroyed the book for me as well?
URGH! What if the cast sucks and they don't act like Hazel and Augustus at all?!

Oh the life of an Australian 14 year old is just so difficult, isn't it?

Anyway that was my little (Shut up, you went unbelievably overboard on such a simple topic) rant about the Fault in Our Stars... And I guess, by extension, annoying teenage girls in tight, tiny clothing.

A Fight Worthy to Fight - By Everything and Anything

(If you have a good name for this don't be shy in sharing. I was thinking 'A Dream Deemed Worthy' maybe? Anyway ENJOY)

Like a poets inspiration
When society's all shot down.
A writers devastation
In a lost and broken town.

A singers call to harmony
When the world is void of sound.
A theft sought after larceny
In a jail locked earth bound.

An actor open minded,
Or a dancer soaring high
Is a believer just and righted
On a cause lost in a lie.

A hope in the light of day
In an unjust source of torture,
In a dark forsaken trade
There's still light hidden in corners.

A dream worthy of dreaming,
Or a candle set alight.
A nightmare vanquished deeming
On a fight worthy to fight.

What Is My Life?

I feel like I'm going through a not-even-quarter life crisis. What am I doing with my life?
Waking up at 11-12am every day, eating a butt load of food, watching YouTube and/or movies, occasionally walking to the shops just to buy more food, or go for a walk if it's not pouring rain, but mostly just staying inside in my pj's all day.
I feel like I'm wasting every day, but because I feel this way I feel no motivation to go outside and change that. And then I get depressed because I watch YouTube and all these YouTubers are doing exciting, thrilling things and having lives and being fun and I'm just sitting here doing nothing all day, feeling guilty about it, just to do it again.

Whenever I feel this way I always watch Danisnotonfire or Itswaypastmybedtime and instantly feel better. But this is such a bad habit.
I need help.
I need a bad influence.
I need someone who is literally going to push me out the door, shove me into a fun situation and point a gun at my head until I do something.

And in all these days I've spent cooped up inside and being lonely, I've come to realize what has influenced me to feel this way. What has truly influence my Boo Radleyness is this;
The internet - enough said.
Winter weather - I think my brain just thinks because the weather is cold it gives me the excuse to stay inside and eat.
My weight - I can't swim (obviously because of the weather as well) but because of self consciousness. And just in general I feel the judging eyes of bystanders...But that might just be because I wear colourful stockings with shorts and a bagging band tee on a daily basis.
Anxiety - I hate going over to peoples houses. I hate it. I literally feel this pulsating desire to stay home and not go over to another human beings house. I'm fine with them coming to mine, it's just going over to theirs and interacting with other people and... oh God.
My Singleness - I suppose if I had a boyfriend I would probably be on dates and stuff and not in my room reading Wattpad and watching Harry Potter repeatedly.

Boys, Blogs and Books

Hello Blogiverse (I don't care if it's not a thing, I'm making it a thing),
So recently I started talking to this guy. He's funny, nice, sweet, an apology whore and has good taste in music. All was going well until I asked the fatal question;
Do you read?
And what would he reply with but;
Yes. Pictures.
I think my heart dropped to the pit of my stomach. Will there never be a guy who reads and who I'll meet in my lifetime? Every. Single. Guy. I know doesn't read. Why is this? Why doesn't he read?
No matter, I will continue to talk to this non-reading person whom in which I have nada in common with. You never know, maybe I can broaden his horizons and help him indulge in the sweet new alternate universe of a half decent book.

So, I've only been blogging for a few days - maybe a week now - and what I've come to notice is... I actually prefer blogging over writing. Which is absolutely insane since I love writing for its creativity and its ability to lure me into a whole new universe. Whereas blogs are a way to look into someone elses lives, or - depending on the writer - your own. Nothing in common, except, you know, the fact of actual writing. But that obviously doesn't count.

Books, books, and more books. I think I may be breaching insanity, borderline BOOKS!
Does that even make sense? I don't know, because I'm too indulged in freaking books. I'm in the process of reading Beautiful Darkness, but honestly I couldn't be arsed. I have so many, many books awaiting my seeking eyes, yet my pride is determined to finish Beautiful Darkness before I start on the others. Despite this distinct fact I still - accidentally! - started reading To Kill a Mockingbird, since I got it the other day and I felt unusually intellectual reading it in public, although I felt unable to concentrate with all the wondering eyes looking from a punk rock teenage girl to the old classic novel she had in her dry, unvarnished finger nails.
I honestly cannot wait to start with World War Z since I want to read it before I see the movie, but I want to see the movie soon, but I have to finish Beautiful Darkness before I start on World War Z. Do you see my dilemma?!

My Entire Childhood Has Been a Lie

*Inspired by SimplyBrea507 and Carrie Fletcher*

My favourite Disney princess had always been Anastasia, until the other day when the soul crushing reality set in and I found out that Anastasia (in all it's perfect glory) is, in fact, a 20th Century Fox movie, not Disney. It felt like my world was crumbling around me and there would forever be this unfulfillable void inside of me.
It was like my entire childhood had been a lie - I had been brought up on a godforsaken lie!
But I did find out that Anastasia is a real princess and Rasputin is a real bad guy and Bartok is not. Rasputin actually did try to kill Anastasia though -just without all the magic gobbilty goop (although I'm still unsure on the half dead status that was introduced in the movie.)
But she'll forever remain my favourite princess of all time, just not Disney princess. And Rasputin will always be my favourite villain.

This whole dilemma leaves a gargantuan hole in my heart that can only be filled with the beautiful voice and unrealistic hair of a Disney princess.

But who, may I enquire, is suitable for the role of my favourite Disney princess? And who is ready for the grand task of pursuing her prince at all costs?
Or perhaps my Disney princess will not even involve a prince..?

Merida from Brave is definitely on the call back list for My Favourite, but who else?
I always loved Jasmine from Aladdin. I grew up watching it and, I have to say, Aladdin is, in my opinion, the hottest Disney prince. That, and Jasmine has the best hair in Disney.
It's like Walt said "OK everyone, what'll make those vulnerable, influential children the most self conscious? And we'll put that in Jasmine."
Perfect hair, waist, clothes, skin, face, eyes, voice, life - just... perfection.
Merida on the other hand is basically from a Disney Chick Lit and I love her uniquity and  independence. Oh and that accent and hair! She's what it would be like if you combined Mulan (Who's also in the possible call back list) with Joan of Ark in a more suitable, magical, Scottish environment.
Albeit, Merida and Jasmine are so... opposite, yet it's a toss up between the two.

Is it wrong that they've both made it to the top two because of their hair...?

The Legendary Bystander - Poem by Everything and Anything

I know it was wrong
And I definitely should've stopped it
And I shouldn't have just sat there and watched.

I realize I'm no better than she
And I'm just as much to blame
And I shouldn't have just sat there and waited.

I remember your tear stained cheeks
And the scars on your wrists
And I shouldn't have just sat there and witnessed.

I forgot to tell adults
And the note I found in your book
And I shouldn't have just sat there and forgotten.

I caught on to your facade
And your planned escape from the world
And I shouldn't have just let you die...

Addiction is a Disease Without a Cure

Harry Potter, Danisnotonfire, Adventure Time - humanities saviors in 5 short, fantastic words.
But how much is too much? And what about when humanities saviors become the reason I don't have human interactions anymore?
I'm cooped up inside, wasting away, being a hypocrite and being tamed.(An expectant half rhyme I had no intention of half rhyming.)
I love them, I need them and they're ruining my life.

My drugs in a nutshell;
Harry Potter - 'You laugh, you cry and then you come back for more'. Not technically related to HP in any way, but the same outcome, yeah?
Danisnotonfire - Dan is a true inspiration to the socially awkward, the ones who stay inside on the internet all day without the tiniest bit of self respect or doubt and the ones who suck at being human beings - aka us all.
And finally Adventure Time - A light in a very dark world full of sluts and twelvies.

They're ruining my life, but at the same time how do I possibly let them go?
They're like my children, or more accurately, my drugs.

I guess I now know what goes on in the mind of a mass murderer...

Uninspired and Annoyed

How does one start a story? How come I can no longer feel this burning need, this necessity to write? What is wrong with me?
I have this brilliantly brilliant idea for a story - unique, mystique and dark - but not a clue on how to start it or where to, in fact.
I have never yet read a story in any similarity to my idea, but I can not seem to get it started! It's just so frustrating!
It's such a shame too, because I can write on Blogger, but not on Word? The sense of it all.
Which brings me back to my first question; How does one start a story?
Was there some kind of special club I missed, in which everyone discussed how to start a new york time's best seller...? Because it seems like there is, and it seems like I didn't get the invite.

I saw this on We Heart It and thought it out to be commemorated, don't you agree?
'THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX.' I've always loved that saying, and loved this picture even more.
And don't forget to commemorate the things you appreciate the most (Only a selected few of you will get the ironic brilliance of that). Have a nice day/night.

Unrealism

So I love Carrie Fletcher (aka Itswaypastmybedtime) and recently I went through all her videos and watched them again... for the third time... and remembered her blog - alliknownow.com.

I read a few of her posts, but the one that really caught my attention was 'Unrealistic' from the 9th of June, wherein she discussed the social barriers of dreams and realities and which path is suitable to take.
It forced me to realize just how horrid the real world is and how much we get put down about it.
I love singing, acting and writing, but I've been taught my whole life that these aren't the right career paths and that I should get more involved in medicine and physiology and psychology.
But I don't want to and I don't care. And that's good. I guess.

Who cares if your likes and dislikes are different to those around you? I want you to go out and chase what makes you happy, go along the bumpy road of life until you finally reach it and keep it.
You want to sing? Sing!
You want to dance? Dance!
You want to be a doctor? Be a freaking doctor! It's really that simple.
I'm not saying the way there will be easy, I mean where's the fun in that? (Who would want to skip to the end of the book without reading the middle? You'd just get lost) but the choice to take a way there is easy, because you're making that choice and that choice will make you happy.
The only one stopping you from chasing what you truly want, is you. Let loose the metaphorical chains of your life and strive toward greatness, because the only person who can ever truly stop you is yourself.
Don't give up and don't give in. Give it all you've got and strive for what makes you happy.
Because you can and you will and you'll be happier because of it.

Posting Because I Have No Moral Judgement

I think, for the time being, I'm quite into this bloggy stuff - posting about two a day - but as time goes on I fear I may resign from Blogger.
Not necessarily because I want to, or because I hate the site, but because I'll simply forget about it. I'll forget about posting, feel no real godforsaken inspiration and just stop.

But for now, I am here. And for now, I am typing, because for now my copy of Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets isn't working and no amount of food in the world could get me to leave my hibernation chamber commonly known as a 'bed', and that is truly saying something about my state of mind.
Although I have no real reason for typing right now. I mean for god's sake I'm just rambling on here aren't I?
I tend to do that.
In real life and in writing.

It's holidays right now for me and, I must say, I am ravishing in the glory of sleep-in's and being over stimulated. Although I tend to get rather secluded in my holiday time. What with all the reading, eating and watching movies, it tends takes up quite a bit of my time, leaving me with no time and no energy for my guilt tripping friends.
I feel bad, honestly. But nothing (As I said, not even food) can get me to leave my cocoon of hibernation.

And so I stay, rested in my bed, feeling some deep dwelling of inspiration that will never be put to use since I have absolutely no idea what to write about, just that I want to write, and it's driving me mad.

However, I do insist that you all (All, like, 10 of you) check out Wattpad if you want a good (or crappy, depending on things) read. It's also a great place to write stories and read them and share them and just in general a great site that I have spent the majority of my life on. And since it's the majority of my life, I thought it would only be right to share it with you, so, yes.

A Story of That Girl - Poem by E&A

A Story of That Girl
            by me, E&A.

She couldn't stand any longer.
Her feet caved - couldn't cope.
The scars on her wrist prominent
And the destiny evoked.

The circles around her eyes-
A distraction from the world.
A sleeping pill, an overdose,
And bruises from wishes well

You know she's stronger than you
And think that she won't care
When your words leave scars and ashes
On a memory left for dead.

The masks of smiles disguising
The way it truly kills,
The way she sees herself
And the way she's drowned in pills.

Pointed fingers and mocking laughs
Imbedded in her brain.
At wits end, a fender bend.
Collide, no escapade.

Society and mirrors
Telling her to change.
Thoughts of eternities end,
Reaching the last page.

The ripped up pieces of once-was-pure
And the burnt up pride turned dust.
The knife unclothed and oh-so-close.
Long forgotten love and trust.

The nonexistent ending
To a story not forgotten
Of a girl and her escape,
From the hurt and non-platonic.

One final good-bye to a broken girl-
To a child whose life you ruined.
Do at last you see,
How your words had influence?

Dealing with Dickheads

So, I've had to deal with idiots my whole life.
At home, at school, at church, at groups, at the shops, in Australia, in the world, in the ENTIRE FREAKING UNIVERSE.
And sometimes it's hard to register that there are, in fact, a few non-annoying people left in this haven of humiliation.
But really the dickheads overshadow the good right?
Right.
So I'm going to teach you how to 'Deal with Dickheads'. Although if you didn't get that from the title then you're probably one yourself and if that's the case you're too far gone. I can't help you. #soznotsoz (I'm being ironic, don't hit me!)

Lesson 1
Don't take what they say seriously. They're just immature dirtballs dealing with their own crap and taking it out on you because you're the intelligent one.
Lesson 2
Show them up. Dickheads hate being turned down and hate being proven wrong, so if you do this it might just drive them insane enough to back off. Don't hold me to that.
Lesson 3
Tell people. Whether it's just venting or organizing a synchronized gangsta mob, you'll need to let others know. Sometimes these 'people' with no common courtesy simply need to be dealt with and other people dealing with the same frustration can help.
Lesson 4
Be like Dan Howell. I hope you all know Danisnotonfire, if not get off Blogger and go on Youtube. He will change your life. He is the inspiration for this post and he is the voice of awkward reason in a room full of twats. He is truly iconic.
Lesson 5
Don't be a pussy. Honestly my brother's a complete wuss and look where that got him. Now he's a dickhead too, with a shy annoying girlfriend and mother issues. He also can't watch a horror movie without shitting himself, or talking to my friends without the same outcome.

Love to bits and back,

What do I call the day I unleash the truth upon you?

Bonjour,        Day 2 Blogs and the harsh environment of reality starting to sink in.
I may have to resort to drinking my own urine to survive.

Anyway, on with the blog and out with the socially awkward.
Today I had an astounding epiphany... I believe in the zombie apocalypse.
Now now, you won't be laughin when you're a zombie and I chop your head off with a pick axe because I was prepared and you were not.
It's going to happen, and I'm going to be prepared.
World War 1, World War 2, and now, World War Z.(It's happening and I'm copyrighting, sue me. Actually please don't.)
My vote is on some mad scientist. He/She'll try to create a zombie - make them real, change the worlds fate - and when the government finds out they'll keep it from us, to reduce panicking. But we'll panic anyway, because we're smart and saw that coming. The disease will spread when the Government can't come up with a way to contain it or cure it.
It'll start in America, because that's where it's basically been structured to happen in almost every zombie book, movie, carving, smoke signal and commandment-on-stone I've ever seen. But then it'll spread to South East Asia, then Australia, then the UK, then the rest of the world.
I don't know why I think this is, or why someone would want to create the shouldn't-be-created but I do, and they do and it'll happen, and (as much as I hate to admit it, and as much as I'll be prepared) I'll be the first to go.
I'm hopeless with combat and I can't drive and I have no hot, witty, 6'2 wall of guy whom I'll eventually fall for and help cure the zombie virus with.
I'm doomed.
Unless, somehow a zombie falls in love with me and they start curing themselves, or I meet Tallahassee in all his zombie-killing  glory.

The point is, the Zombie Apocalypse is fast approaching and we all need to prepare the dehydrated food and the conveniently placed yellow hummer with the hot, witty love interest rearing to go.

First Installment of Alive and Living

Hey everyone,
So... first blog post! Yay?
I've never had a blog before, in fact I got the idea for one from my friends Brea. (Whose account name is Simply Brea if you want to check her out)
I thought I'd give an idea about what Alive and Living is all about;
I want to connect with people on a deeper, more relatable level. I want people to think that they have some kind of anonymous voice out there saying what they don't have the courage to say. I want to share my experiences and troubles and ideas with the very few people reading this (if any).
Alive and Living is all about what I get up to as a fellow breathing, blinking, living human being and making the most of being 'alive and living'. Although I may be a hypocrite considering I'm sitting in my room by myself, typing a blog no one will read, waiting to be picked up to walk around a shopping centre, just to suppress to the socially norm, for people I don't like. Hypocritical...
Still.
I want to be a voice that discusses what others want to discuss, not just my boring every day life of school, eat, sleep, repeat.
I'm not sure what the protocol of Blogger actually is, but I'll try and post as much as possible, but considering I have a life, I'm writing other stuff, and I spend most of my day sleeping ("Hypocrite," cried the sing song voice of a commenter) it may be a while before I get into a regular posting habit... maybe.
So anyway, this is the first installment of Alive and Living and I'll post when I do.

Love, to bits and back,
         Everything and Anything
